  • 375g Homepride Superior Sponge Flour or Self Raising Flour
  • 45g Caster Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 330ml Bottle of Pale Beer/Ale
  • 45g Melted Butter

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/160 degrees C fan
  2. Grease a 2lb loaf tin
  3. In a large bowl add the flour, sugar, salt, beer and half of the melted butter and whisk
    thoroughly to combine
  4. Pour the mix into the loaf tin
  5. Drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top of the uncooked dough
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes or until golden and an inserted
    skewer/tooth pick comes out clean
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes
  8. Remove the cooked loaf from the tin and allow to cool on a wire rack
